Mount Lincoln 14,295′ 4/20/2017 Lincoln Amphitheater – Very-able

With blue skies in the morning and a forecast for storms later in the day we decided to give it a go, you never know till you go. We definitely got a late start but that’s usually ok if you’re going for a north facing line. So our plan was to give the North Gully a look. After seeing every kind of weather on the way up and not wanting to miss our window we didn’t rest as much as usual. Ally didn’t have the energy to drop into the unknown so we skied back down the ascent route in a white out. The snow was firm at the top, corn in the middle and mush down low. That’s what to expect with 14er skiing. Way to get it done Ally and bag another.
