Fruita Mountain Biking – West Rim and Mary’s Loop Rides – 3/27-28/2013

With the onset of big mountain season almost here but lurking instabilities still the norm in the Front Range and Summit County it seemed like a good idea to go ride Bikes in Fruita. I’ve never ridden there but Allison is a regular in those parts so she set up a group of friends to [...]

Betasso Preserve 6/10/2012 Fun Singletrack

After the day in Park County I headed back to the city to get some rest. It was so good to sleep until noon. My friend Kim was heading out of town soon to go for Shasta and wanted to get some exercise so we decided to go for a ride. This was my first [...]

Kenosha Pass to Georgia Pass 6/4/2012 Stupid Weather

Went for a bike ride with my friend Dave. Got a late start and had to turn back due to rain. Made it 9 miles in and got 2700′ of vertical before we turned around. Such a fun ride. The aspen singletrack is so perfect.

White Rim in a Day – Supported 10/29/2011

Went for the longest ride I’ve ever done last weekend. It was awesome. We started at the top Mineral Bottom Edge and met up with the other members from our group. I think the final number was 11 people. Some of the group was from Salt Lake and the rest were from Colorado. We loaded [...]

Buffalo Creek Charlies Cutoff 8/30/2011 Sweet Single Track

Bootleg Canyon, Boulder City, NV 12/5/09

Well I decided to bring the bike to Vegas and get in some riding. We had hoped the weather would hold out for us long enough and luckily it did. It was a balmy 59 degrees for the ride. Bootleg Canyon offers some great riding with really tough downhills and really fun flowy XC trails [...]

9/15/09 Mt Morgan Trail – Ridgepole Trail, Sandwich, NH

Before I went back to New Hampshire I did a little research into the riding. I checked a bunch of websites and finally found this. Seemed like a classic to me plus it was only 15 miles from where I was staying. A quick visit to Rhino Bikes in Plymouth for a rental and off [...]

9/13/09 Waterville’s Snows Mtn Lift Served DH & Greeley Pond Trail, NH

Every year I seem to make my way back to New Hampshire for a little R&R and good family time. This year I decided to do some riding. Waterville Valley used to have a beginner area on Snows Mountain. The lift still runs but only in the summer. There are a couple trails off the [...]
