Mt Falcon Parmalee and Castle Trails 12/1/2013 WTF

With the coming cold weather it seemed like a good idea to go for a ride today instead of skiing. Now that’s an unusual statement from me. It was just one of those days where it just didn’t seem worth driving to ski beat up crowded weekend backcountry and then deal with the Thanksgiving traffic […]

Another Weekend in Crested Butte 8/9-11/2013 – Classics and The Obtuse

We headed back down to CB for some more two-wheeled fun this weekend. It just didn’t seem right to leave it at one visit when we got rained out one of the days on our last trip. We made decent time down there Thursday night but we still got in pretty late. The drive over […]

A Couple Days Biking in Crested Butte 7/26-27/2013

Summer is here for sure. The evidence of this is that I’m actually biking. After my knee started hurting on Mt Neva, I figured it was time to give the skiing a rest for a little while. Mountain biking is great for working out the kinks those ever older knees. After a few nice rides […]

Fruita Mountain Biking – West Rim and Mary’s Loop Rides – 3/27-28/2013

With the onset of big mountain season almost here but lurking instabilities still the norm in the Front Range and Summit County it seemed like a good idea to go ride Bikes in Fruita. I’ve never ridden there but Allison is a regular in those parts so she set up a group of friends to […]

Betasso Preserve 6/10/2012 Fun Singletrack

After the day in Park County I headed back to the city to get some rest. It was so good to sleep until noon. My friend Kim was heading out of town soon to go for Shasta and wanted to get some exercise so we decided to go for a ride. This was my first […]

Kenosha Pass to Georgia Pass 6/4/2012 Stupid Weather

Went for a bike ride with my friend Dave. Got a late start and had to turn back due to rain. Made it 9 miles in and got 2700′ of vertical before we turned around. Such a fun ride. The aspen singletrack is so perfect.

White Rim in a Day – Supported 10/29/2011

Went for the longest ride I’ve ever done last weekend. It was awesome. We started at the top Mineral Bottom Edge and met up with the other members from our group. I think the final number was 11 people. Some of the group was from Salt Lake and the rest were from Colorado. We loaded […]

Buffalo Creek Charlies Cutoff 8/30/2011 Sweet Single Track

Well I’ve been riding a bit lately now that mountain biking season has finally started. I finally got out to the Buffalo Creek area for some riding. It’s a really nice zone though this day it seemed a bit sandy. The single track is really fun and the interspersed zones on granite riding are really […]

Cottonwood Pass, Red Rocks, NV 12/6/09

Today was cold even by my standards. I feel bad for my brother since he lives in Vegas and anything below 40 must be arctic to him. He was a good sport though and gutted it out for a while, but the hangover finally got to him and he headed back to the truck. I […]
